Monday, June 6th, 2011

Here we are getting ready for our first Bead Retreat as we are celebrating our 2nd year anniversary. It has been quite the experience and we have come a long way in offering a unique bead experience. We have met so many great people as we offer more than just beads. All of our classes are free. Our bead parties also include great food and lots of laughter!

Bead Retreat August 12th to August 14th.

We will start Friday around lunch with possibly two classes being taught that day and continue till Sunday early afternoon. There is room for campers and tents. We are also offering limited rooms in two RVs on site. So, first come, first serve! The meals will be a set menu and I will try to select something that everyone will enjoy. Any special diet requirements can be handled if I know in advance. This will be a fun filled weekend with Beaders coming to share and learn from each other. You may contact me at info@carlosbeadstore.com with any questions.

Reservation will be on a first come first reserve basis. Your registration fee will guarantee your spot at the retreat. If you are sharing a room in one of the RVs please let me know your roommate.

Golem Studio Pendants

Friday, March 5th, 2010

On a very quiet day I was searching the net for new "funky pendants" to bring to our customers. I came accross the Golem website. Right away I was blown away with the unusual colors and forms which fitted with Carlos Little Bead Store style of original components. I just got them yesterday and I love them........ Worth the trip to Leslieville to view.

Metalcraft by DeZine

October 28, 2009

Africa is a vast, wild continent with majestic landscapes. The civilization holds its mystic beauty of an era that long ago faded, but won’t be forgotten.

Metalcraft by DeZine offers a means of conduit to this distant age by using the traditional, and adding a touch of modern edge.

Copper and brass has been used by Africans for self adornment since 500 B.C. Simple yet complex, ancient yet modern, this copper and brass jewelry is inspired by the Ndebele culture whose art has played such a prominent part of their everyday lives.

Metalcraft by Dezine are handcrafted brass and copper components, cresting high-quality metal art. Each piece is formed by hand, burnished, polished and then dipped in anti-tarnish lacquer.

These pieces are made in a small village in South Africa by local craftspeople, utilizing Fair Trade Standards. Metalcraft by Dezine provides meaningful employment for over 100 members of their village.

In addition to economic benefits, villagers are provided with on-going training and education in life-skills.

Carlos Little Bead Store is proud to offer the Metalcraft by DeZine line to its customers.
